Luka Chuppi Crosses 100 Crore Worldwide

Luka Chuppi starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon had a good start at the Indian box office and began its theatrical run with ₹ 8.01 Crore. The romantic comedy film has collected ₹ 75.24 Crore in India and ₹ 102.99 Crore gross worldwide within fourteen days of its release.

Luka Chuppi emerges as fifth highest weekend opener of this year after Gully Boy (₹ 72.45 Crore), Total Dhamaal (₹ 62.40 Crore), Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi (₹ 42.55 Crore) and Uri The Surgical Strike(₹ 35.73 crore).

The movie is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan. It tells the story of a television reporter who cohabits with a headstrong woman. Chaos ensues when their traditional families assume that they are married. Principal photography for the film began in Gwalior on 1 August 2018 and was completed in Mathura in September 2018. The film was released on 1 March 2019.

Luka Chuppi got released in 2507 screens worldwide which includes 2100 screens in India and 407 screens at overseas. It is made on a budget of ₹ 27 Crore including the Production cost and Prints & Advertising Cost.
