MOVIE REVIEW: Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is a package of entertaining performances, excellent direction, chartbuster music, and an interesting plot. Director Luv Ranjan knows what his audience wants and he successfully delivers that. His monologues will be liked by the viewers again.
The pace of the first half is slow and will test your patience. There was room for better writing which could have made the first even more engaging. The second half starts on a promising note and the last 15-20 minutes of the film were the most hilarious and had well-written emotional scenes too. Writers Luv Ranjan and Rahul Mody have done a great job here.
Ranbir Kapoor plays his part with ease, there’s nobody currently in Bollywood who does it better than him when it comes to a rom-com. Shraddha looks stunning and she has delivered an excellent performance. The chemistry between the lead actors was one of the highlights of the movie. Anubhav Singh Bassi’s debut is impressive. Dimple Kapadia and the child actor Inayat Verma were the surprise package. Boney Kapoor, Hasleen Kaur, and other supporting actors were decent.
