Ajay Devgn starrer De De Pyaar De has enters into the 100 Crore club and emerges as his 10th film to cross this mark at the domestic box office. The movie co-starring Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh had a average start at the Indian box office & began its theatrical run with ₹ 10.41 Crore. Also starring Javed Jaffrey, Jimmy Shergill, Alok Nath, Kumud Mishra in supporting roles and Sunny Singh in a cameo appearance.
In the last 3 weeks, it did the business of ₹ 97.01 Crore with ₹ 61.05 Crore in the first, ₹ 23.44 Crore in second and ₹ 12.52 Crore in the third week. After 27 days of its release, the romantic comedy film has collection ₹ 100.72 Crore in India and ₹ 135.53 Crore gross worldwide. It has surpasses the lifetime domestic collection of Ajay’s previous films Shivaay and Singham.
The movie is written by Luv Ranjan and directed by Akiv Ali in his directorial debut. It was produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under their respective banners T-Series and Luv Films. The film follows a middle-aged divorce who decides to marry a woman almost half his age, and the impending chaos his decision causes. The movie has received mixed reviews from the audience as well as critics but most of them praise the film and the performances of the lead.
Despite having the biggie Bharat starring Salman Khan in its parallel, this rom-com is getting a decent response from the audience in the fourth week too. De De Pyaar De was released across 3750 screens worldwide which includes 3100 screens in India and 650 screens in overseas. It is made on a budget of ₹ 60 Crore including the Production cost and Prints & Advertising Cost.
