Chhichhore starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor got an average start at the Indian box office. The movie began its theatrical run with ₹ 7.32 Crore and emerges as Sushant’s second highest opener film after M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016) ₹ 21.30 Crore. The comedy drama film has collected ₹ 35.98 Crore in India within three days of its release beats Sushant’s previous year release Kedarnath opening weekend collection of ₹ 27.75 Crore.

The film focuses on seven friends during their college days and the variety of memories they share and then how they save their friend’s son in their old age. It has received mixed reviews from critics and loved by the audience, Hit ya Flop gave it 3.4 out of 5 stars.

The movie is written by Nitesh Tiwari, Piyush Gupta & Nikhil Malhotra and directed by Nitesh Tiwari. It is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Chhichhore got released across 2000+ screens in India and estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 70 Crore including the Production cost and Prints & Advertising Cost. Even before the release of the film, makers have recovered almost 90% of their investment by selling the Satellite rights, Digital rights, Music rights, because of audience favourable cast & movie genre.
