Sanju has entered into the 100 Crore club in just three days of its release and becomes the highest weekend opener Bollywood film ever collected ₹ 120.06 Crore beats the previous record of ₹ 114.93 Crore holds by Salman Khan starrer Tiger Zinda Hai. But Baahubali 2 still holds the record of the highest weekend opener Indian film (₹ 128 Crore).
The movie starring Ranbir Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal, Dia Mirza, Manisha Koirala, Anushka Sharma, Jim Sarbh, Sonam K Ahuja and Boman Irani had a whopping start at the Indian box office and earned ₹ 34.75 Crore on its first day, which is the highest opening of this year and 6th highest opening of all time & the biggest opening for a non Khan movie.
The film based on the life of Sanjay Dutt is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Rajkumar Hirani & Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
