MOVIE REVIEW: Homi Adajania returns with Cocktail 2, a film that attempts present a modern love triangle wrapped in glamour, romance, and emotional conflict. While the film succeeds in delivering a visually rich cinematic experience and boasts decent performances, it ultimately struggles to maintain its emotional depth. One of the film’s biggest strengths is undoubtedly its presentation. The cinematography beautifully captures the charm and elegance of the Italian landscape. Homi Adajania’s signature stylish storytelling is evident throughout, ensuring that the film remains aesthetically appealing even when the narrative begins to falter.

Another major highlight of the film is Pritam’s music. The soundtrack perfectly complements the film’s youthful and energetic vibe. Several songs have already become chartbusters. Pritam’s background score remains in sync with the mood of the film and effectively supports the storytelling. The dialogues deserves appreciation as well. It begins to lose its grip is in the second half. A tighter edit would have improved the overall impact and pacing, especially during the pre-climax and climax portions. Fans of romantic dramas and stylish Bollywood entertainers may still find enough reasons to give it a watch, but those expecting a satisfying emotional journey may come away disappointed.

Performance-wise, Kriti Sanon emerges as the film’s biggest winner. She is undoubtedly the heart and soul of the film. With her screen presence, Kriti commands attention every time she appears on screen. Shahid Kapoor looks effortlessly charming and delivers a decent performance, making his character easy to root for despite some inconsistencies in the writing. Rashmika Mandanna gets comparatively less scope to showcase her acting abilities, but she performs well within the limitations of her role.
