Aamir Khan scores with magical numbers yet again in China, Secret Superstar starring Zaira Wasim in the lead debuts at number one position at China box office, ahead of all Chinese and Hollywood movies. Aamir has an extended special appearance in this comedy drama film.
The movie has collected whopping ₹ 48.64 Crore ($7.62 Million) on its Day 1, including ticketing fees and paid previews. A leading Chinese online movie ticket seller and fan ratings site Maoyan.com has estimated that Secret Superstar will make around 540 Crore by the end of its life time run. Movie rating website Douban gave it an 8.2 on 10 and Maoyan gave 9.6/10.
Opening day numbers are even higher than Dangal, the unbelievable response got by Dangal and PK has benefited this film. Prior to China release Secret Superstar has grossed ₹ 150 Crore world wide and now with the first day collections in China, it’s near to ₹ 200 Cr mark worldwide. In India, the life time collection is ₹ 63.40 Crore.
