PLOT : Shabana Khan is the special agent who is entrusted the task of assassinating a deadly arms dealer by the Indian Intelligence Agencies.
MOVIE REVIEW : Naam Shabana will not offer you what you have seen in Neeraj Pandey’s A Wednesday , Baby and Special 26.
Neeraj Pandey has written the story and Shivam Nair has directed the film.
The spin off of Shabana is weakly written and lacks in her character development.
First off all why Shabana picked by the agency? this was not convincing for the viewers, and to engage the audience plot should have some twist or a good story line.
Thats why Naam Shabana fails to become the action entertainer of this year.
The first half shown the quick love story & sad past of Shabana and then portraits a different revenge story. And second half has different story of catching a arms dealer with the help of newly recruited Shabana.
Taapsee Pannu delivers a good performance and this is only expected by the people after PINK, she was good when it comes to action but falls short in portraying a character who fights hard.
Akshay Kumar has a cameo, the leading man from Baby but he alone unable to save this film.
Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran trying his best in bollywood, this time in a negative role but not choosing the role & film wisely.
Manoj Bajpayee also good here, but limited role and no action sequences to support the film.
Anupam Kher as Shuklaji is average in his role because the script does not allow him to raise the film.
Songs are below average and sometime irrelevant to the situations and plot.
The movie got an average opening at the box office.
