Kabir Singh beats Uri to Enter in Top-10 Hindi Grosser of All Time

Blockbuster Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani is unstoppable. The film refuses to slow down at the Indian box office and now become the highest Bollywood grosser of 2019. After crossing the collection of Bharat (₹ 211.17 Crore), now it has surpasses the life time domestic collection of Uri: The Surgical Strike (₹ 245.36 Crore). Currently, it stands with a collection of ₹ 246.28 Crore in India and ₹ 327.81 Crore gross worldwide in 20 days of its release.

It’s been three weeks since the movie was released, but it still continues to shatter box office records. The latest feat it has achieved is that of surpassing Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike to enter into the Top 10 highest Hindi grosser films. Kabir Singh began its theatrical run with ₹ 20.21 Crore and emerges as Shahid Kapoor’s biggest opener ever beats Padmaavat first day collection of  ₹ 19 Crore. The movie also starring Soham Majumdar, Arjan Bajwa, Nikita Dutta, Suresh Oberoi, Adil Hussain and Kamini Kaushal in supporting roles.

Kabir Singh is an official remake of Telugu blockbuster movie Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in titular roles. Sandeep Reddy Vanga who has directed the original film has helmed the remake as well. It is jointly produced by Cine1 Studios and T-Series. The film focuses on the title character, an alcoholic surgeon who goes on a self-destructive path after his girlfriend is forced to marry someone else. The movie has impressed the audience and received mixed reviews from most of the critics but most of them praise the film and for Shahid’s performance.

Kabir Singh was released across 3616 screens worldwide which includes 3123 screens in India and 493 in overseas. It is made on a budget of ₹ 60 Crore including the Production cost and Prints & Advertising Cost.
