Brahmastra Becomes Highest Grossing Bollywood Film Of 2022

Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt surpasses the domestic lifetime collection of The Kashmir Files ( ₹ 253 Crore) and becomes the highest-grosser Bollywood film of this year. The movie began its theatrical run with ₹ 36 Crore in India and emerged as the biggest opener for a non-holiday release.

Currently, the fantasy adventure film stands with a collection of ₹ 254 Crore approx. in India after its 20 days of release and it has crossed ₹ 400 Crore gross worldwide. The movie is written and directed by Ayan Mukerji. It is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Namit Malhotra, and Mukerji – in his debut production – under the production companies Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures, and Prime Focus in association with Star Studios, along with Ranbir Kapoor and Marijke DeSouza.

Brahmastra also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna Akkineni in supporting roles, and Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo appearance. Hit Ya Flop gave it 3.3 out of 5 stars & rated it as ‘Good’ and wrote “The film is a package of top-notch VFX, an enthralling background score, a unique storyline, and good performances”. Brahmastra is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 450 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost.
