MOVIE REVIEW: Bholaa is a faithful remake of Kaithi (2019). The movie has clap-worthy action sequences, whistle-worthy dialogues, and noteworthy performances. A night with thrill and action, it is meant for the mass audience and they gonna love it. Ajay Devgn excels in direction too and the cinematography by Aseem Bajaj was outstanding.
The film’s major highlight is its VFX and brilliantly executed action choreography, making it a visual treat. The BGM by Ravi Basur enhances the viewing experience. Ankush Singh, Aamil Keeyan Khan, Sriidhar Rajyash Dubey, and Sandeep Kewlani’s screenplay deviated from the original and they tried to add another layer to the film. But the flashback portion failed to leave any impact and it felt rushed. Another drawback was the runtime and lack of depth in the story.
Ajay Devgn, the man of few words effortlessly played the titular character once again. He can express his emotions through his eyes. He was excellent in fight scenes and his dialogue delivery was top-notch. Tabu and Sanjay Mishra shines in their role and do justice to the characters. Deepak Dobriyal steals the show in the negative character. Vineet Kumar, Gajraj Rao, and Amir Khan deliver fine performances. Amala Paul deserved a better Bollywood debut than this. The rest of the cast was decent. Abhishek Bachchan’s cameo, in the end, promises for an action-packed sequel.
