Bala starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam, and Bhumi Pednekar got a good start at the Indian box office. The movie began its theatrical run with ₹ 10.15 Crore and emerges as Ayushmann‘s highest opener film beats Dream Girl (2019) first-day collection of ₹ 10.05 Crore. The comedy-drama film has collected ₹ 52.21 Crore in India and crosses ₹ 75 Crore gross worldwide within four days of its release.

The film is about a man living in Kanpur who is suffering from alopecia, and the story is about his lack of confidence and the societal pressure that comes with balding. It has received mostly positive reviews from most of the critics as well as the audience, Hit ya Flop gave it 3 out of 5 stars.
