Badrinath Ki Dulhania Movie Review

PLOT : Badrinath Bansal and Vaidehi Trivedi belong to small towns but have diametrically opposite opinions on everything. This leads to a clash of ideologies, despite both of them recognizing the goodness in each other.

MOVIE REVIEW : Dulhaniya franchise is back and this time with Badri & Vaidehi. Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania was a light film that has some good and bad moments but film was a HIT.
And Badrinath Ki Dulhania is well made family entertainer with a decent story line and a social message on gender issues & feminism.
Director Shashank Khaitan’s rom-com deliver a message of women’s empowerment but in an average way.
First half is a fun to watch because of Varun Dhawan and Sahil Vaid, their accent, comic scenes & body language are just impeccable.
Interval will make the audience more curious for the second half. But Second half is slightly slow and looses the grip of the plot. This is a story with an obvious climax, and there was a unnecessary drama at the end.
Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are great together, they both share superb chemistry on screen.
The worth watching comic scene comes in 2nd half when Varun encounters with the baddies of Singapore.
Alia was charming as always and her performance highlighted every possible aspect.
Swanand Kirkire & Rituraj Singh role of fathers were good with their oxygen cylinders especially.
Gauhar Khan role was not much noticable. Yash Sinha as Badrinath’s elder brother is just fine and Shweta Prasad has done comeback in Bollywood, here as a sister in law & she was good in her role.
This romantic comedy flick has opened around 35% occupancy in the morning shows.

Overall Hit ya Flop Rating : 3 out of 5
