YRF has delivered five back-to-back Flops post-pandemic with Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Bunty Aur Babli 2, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Samrat Prithviraj, and now Shamshera. Shamshera began its theatrical run with ₹ 10.25 Crore. The period action drama film collected ₹ 40.45 Crore in India and ₹ 13 Crore approx. overseas within seven days of its release.
The movie is directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. Hit Ya Flop gave it 1.5 out of 5 stars & rated it as ‘Not Watchable’ and wrote “The film has no exciting moments and it is filled with unnecessary and stretched scenes”.
Shamshera was released across 5550 screens worldwide which includes 4350 screens in India and 1200 screens overseas. It is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 150 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost.
