John Abraham starrer Romeo Akbar Walter had a average start at the Indian box office. The movie began its theatrical run with ₹ 6 Crore. The movie also starring Mouni Roy, Jackie Shroff and Sikandar Kher. The spy thriller film has collected ₹ 22.70 Crore within three days of its release.
Initially, Sushant Singh Rajput was to star in the film as the protagonist but opted out of it due to his prior commitments. The movie is written and directed by Robbie Grewal. It is produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Dheeraj Wadhawan, Ajay Kapoor, Vanessa Valia and Gary Grewal.
The film is set up during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, it is said to be based on true events. John is playing a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent in the movie. The film has failed to impress the audience and received mixed reviews with average ratings from most of the crictics.
RAW got released across 2000 screens in India and it is made on a budget of ₹ 35 Crore including the Production cost and Prints & Advertising Cost.
