PLOT: A exceptionally talented Ranji player quits cricket at 26 but returns to the sport after a decade driven by the desire to represent the Indian cricket team and fulfil his son’s wish for a jersey as a gift.
Jersey is a sports drama film written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, being his Hindi directorial debut and the remake of his 2019 Telugu film of the same title. The film is produced by Geetha Arts, Dil Raju Production, Sithara Entertainments, and Brat Films.

MOVIE REVIEW: “It’s never too late to make your dreams come true.” A faithful remake with remarkable performances. The movie has all the elements of an inspirational sports drama and the only drawback was a runtime of 2 hours and 50 minutes. But despite its long duration, the film manages to keep you engaged with its phenomenal performances.
Shahid Kapoor delivers an outstanding performance. He excels in emotional as well as sports scenes. He shares amazing chemistry with Mrunal, Ronit Kamra, and Pankaj Kapoor. Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor gave an excellent performance. Ronit Kamra stands out in a few scenes too. The rest of the supporting cast performances are appropriate.
The film is filled with some heartwarming moments, a perfect blend of drama and cricket. Gowtam Tinnanuri’s direction is admirable, the story is great but the screenplay works well in only a few places. There was a large room for the editing and the film should have been shorter by 20 minutes. The length of some scenes in the first half could have been edited well for a better impact.
