Blockbuster Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone continues to soar in the cinemas. It became the first Hindi film to cross ₹ 50 Crore in dubbed versions in India. Also, became the fastest Hindi Film to cross ₹ 400 Crore and the fastest Bollywood film (with Tamil & Telugu versions) to cross ₹ 450 Crore in India within just 11 days. With Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan emerges as the only actor to cross ₹ 1000 Crore at the Indian box office in a calendar year.
Directed by Atlee Kumar, the action drama film has collected ₹ 479.99 Crore in India and ₹ 858.68 Crore gross worldwide in eleven days of its release. Jawan was co-written and directed by Atlee, in his first Hindi film. Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment produced it. The movie also stars Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Riddhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, Girija Oak, and Sanjay Dutt in a cameo appearance. Hit Ya Flop gave it 4 out of 5 stars & rated it as ‘Must Watch’ and wrote “The movie is a package of engaging story, entertaining performances, excellent direction, and electrifying larger-than-life action sequences”.
The movie was released across 5500 screens in India and on 4500 screens overseas. The worldwide count for Jawan is 10,000 screens, making it the biggest for a Hindi film and one of the widest ever for an Indian movie too. It is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 300 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost.
