Kannada film Rajaratha and its Telugu version Rajaratham was released in over 750 screens worldwide on 23rd March 2018 and had generated a lot of hype. Starring Nirup Bhandari and Avantika Shetty in the lead roles in their second collaboration with the director after the success of RangiTaranga. Tamil actor Arya has made his debut in Kannada cinema with this film in a supporting role alongside P.Ravishankar and Sruthi Hariharan.
The movie has collected ₹ 1.70 Crore approx. on its first day in Karnataka and Telugu states, it also got released in some part of Tamil Nadu. It is still doing above average business at the Kannada box office and completed its 10 days run successfully with the occupancy of 10 -20 % in theaters. The romantic comedy movie written and directed by Anup Bhandari who also composed the music of the film has collected ₹ 6 Crore (approx.) till now. Both the version of the film were premiered in nearly 120 screens on 22nd Mar’18 in USA and collected $20,000 with a good occupancy.
The film is about a bus journey comes with its own collection of actors and its character introduction narrated by Puneeth Rajkumar in Kannada and Rana Daggubati in Telugu. The story revolves around the love drama between Nirup and Avantika who are just out of college. The film score is composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, the soundtrack is composed by Anup Bhandari. The cinematography is done by William David.
