PM Narendra Modi vs India’s Most Wanted Opening Weekend Collection

Both the films had a poor start at the Indian box office, PM Narendra Modi began its theatrical run with ₹ 2.88 Crore and collected ₹ 11.76 Crore within 3 days of its release. While India’s Most Wanted has collected ₹ 2.10 Crore on its first day and ₹ 8.66 Crore in its opening weekend.

PM Narendra Modi is based on the life of Narendra Damodardas Modi, the 14th Prime Minister of India starring Vivek Oberoi in the lead role who is also credited as co-writer of the film and directed by Omung Kumar. It received generally negative reviews from critics, who termed it a hagiography and panned Oberoi’s performance.

India’s Most Wanted is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, and starring Arjun Kapoor in the lead. The film is about tracking a terrorist in a secret mission and arresting him without firing bullets. The movie is inspired by the arrest of proscribed organisation Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist Yasin Bhatkal, also referred to as India’s Osama Bin Laden, in January 2018 by Delhi Police.

PM Narendra Modi got released in 1200+ screens in India and it is made on a budget of ₹ 15 Crore including the Production cost of ₹ 8 Crore and Prints & Advertising Cost ₹ 7 Crore. India’s Most Wanted got released in 1200 screens in India and it is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 37 Crore including the Production cost of ₹ 27 Crore and Prints & Advertising Cost ₹ 10 Crore.
