Parmanu – The Story of Pokhran starring John Abraham, Diana Penty and Boman Irani had a good start at the Indian box office and earned ₹ 4.82 Crore on its first day. The movie got positive reviews from critics as well audience and due to the good word of mouth the movie picked up its collections on Saturday & Sunday and ended its first weekend with ₹ 20.78 Crore.
The movie is directed by Abhishek Sharma, produced by Zee Studios & JA Entertainment and written by Saiwyn Quadras, Sanyuktha Chawla Sheikh & Abhishek Sharma. The film is based on the nuclear bomb test explosions conducted by the Indian Army at Pokhran in 1998.
The movie got released in 2205 screens worldwide which includes 1935 in India and 270 overseas. Parmanu is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 40 Crore which includes the Production cost of 30 Crore and Prints & Advertising Cost of 10 Crore.
