MOVIE REVIEW: A fitting goodbye to the Drishyam franchise. The biggest strength of Drishyam: The Conclusion is its honest performances and tightly constructed writing. A gripping thriller with strong writing, satisfying twists, powerful performances and a spectacular finale. The story, an original one by Abhishek Pathak, scores with distinction. The narrative expands the world of Vijay Salgaonkar while retaining the central idea that has made the franchise so popular, an ordinary man pushed into extraordinary circumstances, constantly thinking several steps ahead to protect his family.

The screenplay is gripping and keeps you invested in Vijay’s predicament. The film knows when to reveal information and, more importantly, when to hold it back. The twists work because they emerge from the characters and situations rather than feeling artificially inserted just for shock value. The dialogues are another highlight and several lines are clap-worthy. The direction maintains the familiar Drishyam atmosphere while giving the conclusion a larger sense of scale. The pacing deserves special mention too. The courtroom drama also provides some of the film’s most engaging confrontations and dialogues. The background score is one of the film’s biggest assets.

Ajay Devgn is terrific as Vijay Salgaonkar. He navigates this demanding role with remarkable brilliance. Jaideep Ahlawat presence is sharp and commanding. Tabu and Rajat Kapoor characters carry the emotional weight of the investigation and its aftermath, and both actors bring the required intensity and vulnerability to their respective roles. Prakash Raj, who appears in the second half, particularly effective in the courtroom sequences. Kamlesh Sawant provides much of the humour that earns the claps and whistles. Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav are decent in their respective roles.

Drishyam: The Conclusion is not merely another chapter in the franchise. The film succeeds because it doesn’t simply depend on nostalgia. It has a strong original story, crisp writing, an engaging screenplay, compelling performances and enough twists to keep the audience invested.
