Shashank Khaitan’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari starring Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf has wrapped up its extended first week with steady numbers. Despite mixed word of mouth and tough competition from ongoing releases, the film has managed to sustain reasonably well at the box office.
In India, the film has collected ₹44 Crore nett. over its 8-day extended week, while its gross worldwide total stands at ₹66 Crore. The film saw fluctuations in daily collections after a decent opening, with a dip midweek but minor recoveries toward the end of the week, particularly in urban centers. Going into its second weekend, the film will look to add a few more crores before the big Diwali releases take over screens.
Hit ya Flop rated the movie as 2.5 out of 5 stars, labeling it “Average” and wrote, “There are enjoyable performances and some energetic music, but the film suffers from a lack of focus and a predictable storyline.”
