MOVIE REVIEW: Mission Raniganj is high on emotions with a gripping screenplay in the second half. The first half of the film tests the patience of viewers but it gains momentum in the latter half. The film becomes intense in the last 30 minutes and gives you several clap-worthy and nail-biting moments. The cinematography deserves applause and the evacuation scenes were shot well.
The execution and storytelling were not able to do entire justice to this remarkable plot. The film’s most significant drawbacks are poor VFX, weak writing in the first half, and average dialogues. Also, it gets unnecessarily loud in a few portions and the antagonist characters were not written well.
Akshay Kumar delivers a sincere performance and portrays the real-life hero Capsule Gill’s character with full conviction. Parineeti Chopra was decent in her limited role. Jameel Khan, Varun Badola, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya shine in their roles. Other noteworthy performances were given by Sudhir Pandey, Pavan Malhotra, and Rajesh Sharma. Ravi Kishan, Kumud Mishra, and other supporting actors were just fine on their part.
Mission Raniganj Movie Rating:
Direction 3/5

Dialogues 2.5/5
Story 3.5/5
Screenplay 3/5
OverallĀ Hit ya Flop Rating: 3 out of 5 Stars (Good)
