WAR starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff emerges as the highest-grossing film of this year, surpasses the lifetime collection of Kabir Singh (₹ 278.24 Crore) to enter into Top-10 Highest Grosser in India. The film is the clear winner when compared to all the movies that released this year, soon it will cross the ₹ 300 Crore mark too. Currently the action flick has crossed the ₹ 275 Crore mark in India and ₹ 400 Crore gross worldwide within 14 days of its release.

War got the biggest opening ever for a Bollywood film in India, beats Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan (₹ 52.25 Crore). The film emerges as the highest grosser for Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. The movie follows Kabir, an intelligence agent gone rogue. Officials decide there are no other ways to tackle the problem but to kill Kabir, and employ Khalid for the task. It has received mixed reviews from critics, with praise for the performances of Roshan & Shroff and action sequences, but criticism for its predictable storyline and weak plot. Hit ya Flop gave it 3.2 out of 5 stars.

Principal photography of the film began in the second week of September 2018, and concluded in March 2019. Initially titled Fighters, the film’s title was changed after the release of the official teaser in July 2019.
