WAR starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff becomes the 8th Bollywood film to enter into the ₹ 300 Crore club. The highest-grossing film of this year has surpassed the lifetime collection of Kabir Singh (₹ 278.24 Crore), Dhoom 3 (₹ 284.27 Crore) and Sultan ₹ 300.67 Crore to get the 8th position in the list of Top-10 highest grossing Hindi films in India. Currently, the action flick stands with a collection of ₹ 301.65 Crore mark in India and crosses ₹ 450 Crore gross worldwide within 19 days of its release.

War got the biggest opening ever for a Bollywood film in India, beats Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan (₹ 52.25 Crore). The film emerges as the highest grosser for Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. The movie follows Kabir, an intelligence agent gone rogue. Officials decide there are no other ways to tackle the problem but to kill Kabir, and employ Khalid for the task. It has received mixed reviews from critics, with praise for the performances of Roshan & Shroff and action sequences, but criticism for its predictable storyline and weak plot. Hit ya Flop gave it 3.2 out of 5 stars.
The movie also starring Vaani Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Anupriya Goenka, Dipannita Sharma and Soni Razdan. Principal photography of the film began in the second week of September 2018, and concluded in March 2019. Initially titled Fighters, the film’s title was changed after the release of the official teaser in July 2019. The film’s music was composed by Vishal–Shekhar, with lyrics written by Kumaar, and released under the banner YRF Music.
The action thriller film directed by Siddharth Anand who is well known for his direction in Bang Bang! (2014), Anjaana Anjaani (2010), Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), and Salaam Namaste (2005). It is produced by Aditya Chopra under his banner Yash Raj Films. It was previously reported the film had sold ₹ 4.05 Lakh tickets in major multiplexes before its release, beating the pre-release figures of many such big-budget features.
WAR was released across 4000+ screens in India and estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 170 Crore which includes the Production cost of ₹ 150 Crore and Prints & Advertising Cost of ₹ 20 Crore.
