Vedaa Extended Opening Weekend Collection

This Independence Day witnessed a high-stakes three-way clash at the box office, with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2, Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein, and John Abraham’s Vedaa locking horns. While all eyes were on these major releases, it’s clear that Stree 2 is the frontrunner, dominating collections and setting new records. Meanwhile, Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa are engaged in a close fight, struggling to gain momentum amidst the competition.

Vedaa, starring John Abraham, Sharvari, and Abhishek Banerjee, has seen a significant dip in collections, finding itself overshadowed by the success of Stree 2. It managed to collect only ₹ 13.25 Crore in its extended four-day opening weekend — ₹ 70 lakh short of Khel Khel Mein, which has maintained a slight edge. Hit Ya Flop rated the film 2.5 out of 5 stars and labeled it as “Average.”

Directed by Nikkhil Advani, who previously teamed up with John Abraham for the 2019 hit Batla House, Vedaa hasn’t been able to recreate the same magic. In contrast, Batla House had a much stronger opening day, pulling in ₹ 14 Crore on its first day. Produced by Zee Studios, Umesh KR Bansal, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and John Abraham himself, Vedaa was expected to perform better, but it has struggled to capture audience interest.
