Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor entered the ₹ 100 Crore club in 11 days and emerges as Bollywood’s second century of 2023 after Pathaan. The movie began its theatrical run with ₹ 15.73 Crore. The rom-com film collected ₹ 101.98 Crore in India and crosses ₹ 145 Crore gross worldwide till now. Ranbir Kapoor becomes the only actor who achieved this milestone post-pandemic.
TJMM was directed by Luv Ranjan and written by Rahul Mody & Luv Ranjan. It is produced by Luv Films and T-Series Films. The movie also stars Anubhav Singh Bassi, Dimple Kapadia, Boney Kapoor, Hasleen Kaur, and Monica Chaudhary in supporting roles. Hit Ya Flop gave it 3.5 out of 5 stars & rated it as ‘Very Good’ and wrote “it is a package of entertaining performances, excellent direction, chartbuster music, and an interesting plot”.
The movie was theatrically released on 8th March 2023, coinciding with the Holi weekend across 3800+ screens in India. It is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 80 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost.
