PLOT : A woman leaves her husband after discovering that he doesn’t have a toilet in his home.
Then he desperately sets out on a mission to win back his love by standing up to the age-old traditions and values of India.

MOVIE REVIEW : Toilet – Ek Prem Katha comes as the savior for Bollywood as many films fails at the box office this year.
This movie endorses the Indian government’s Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan and tells a story which delivers a message about personal hygiene and proper sanitation system in rural areas.
The film got inspired by a true incident reported from Madhya Pradesh village which has raised the questions of need of Toilet in each and every village house.

First off hats off to Director and Editor Shree Narayan Singh for choosing a challenging script to take up the issue and create awareness, he manages to keep the audience engaged to some extent but failed to translate the whole content on screen in an impressive way.

Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar has given a sparkling performances, the Keshav-Jaya’s screen chemistry will entertain the viewers for sure.
Akshay in the first half is a delight to watch, his comic timing is impeccable and quirky.
Bhumi has done a justice to her role and delivers a more confident performance than her debut film.
Second half is overstretched and high on drama which loses its core intense of the subject, screenplay is weak and
editing part fails in the second half as the climax is dragged to some unnecessary scenes.
Supporting cast is also impressive here, Divyendu Sharma is terrific when it comes to his comic timing and dialogue delivery. Sudheer Pandey is a surprise package here and played an orthodox Brahmin person very well whereas Anupam Kher is completely wasted here due to his poorly written character.
Songs are average expect Hans Mat Pagli sung by Sonu Nigam.

Overall HityaFlop Rating : 3.3 out of 5
