The Kerala Story starring Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani continues to perform well at the box office. The movie began its theatrical run with ₹ 8.03 Crore. The drama film collected ₹ 56.86 Crore in India within five days of its release. The film is all set to cross the ₹ 100 Crore mark in its second weekend and has a chance of hitting ₹ 200 Crore too.
The Kerala Story is directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, who is also the creative director of the film. Hit Ya Flop gave it 4 out of 5 stars & rated it as ‘Must Watch’ and wrote “A hard-hitting, shocking, and disturbing film. Adah Sharma and all other actors delivers a praiseworthy performance”.
The film has been Banned in West Bengal by the State Government and screening was also cancelled in Tamil Nadu and Kerala for being controversial. However, it was declared tax-free Madhya Pradesh. The film is all set to make its debut in UK and France on May 12th. It is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 40 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost.
