The drama film collected ₹ 156.69 Crore in India within 12 days of its release and it is soon to cross ₹ 200 Crore mark.

After collecting ₹ 9.65 Crore on its second Tuesday the film has emerged as the second-highest Bollywood grosser film of this year surpassing Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’s lifetime collection of ₹ 145 Crore. Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan remains in the first position with a collection of ₹ 543.05 Crore.
The Kerala Story is directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, also the film’s creative director. Hit Ya Flop gave it 4 out of 5 stars & rated it as ‘Must Watch’ and wrote “A hard-hitting, shocking, and disturbing film. Adah Sharma and all other actors deliver a praiseworthy performance”. It is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 40 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost.
