The film is written by Rajat Arora and directed by Milan Luthria, is an official remake of the Telugu hit film RX100 (2018). It is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner with Fox Star Studios serving as distributor and co-producer. The movie marks the Bollywood debut of Ahan Shetty, the son of Suniel Shetty. The movie also stars Saurabh Shukla, Kumud Mishra, and Sumit Gulati.
Tadap was theatrically released worldwide on 3rd December 2021 across 1651 screens in India and 451 screens overseas. It is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 25 Crore including the Production cost of ₹ 18 Crore and Prints & Advertising Cost ₹ 7 Crore.
