WEB SERIES REVIEW: “Jaadu dhokha se hota hai aur chamatkaar yakeen se”
Taaza Khabar is a decent binge-worthy show. Writers Hussain Dalal and Abbaz Dalal follow the same tried and tested formula, so do not expect that it will offer something new. The plot is the same as every single other rags-to-riches story – a good-for-nothing boy with big dreams, a girlfriend working in the brothel, love for his mother but having issues with his father, and a sidekick childhood friend who is there just for comic relief.

Although the screenplay is predictable, it will keep you engaged due to the execution and performances. The series starts off on a promising note, Vasya is granted with a vardaan and he started getting notifications on his phone about the breaking news before the event actually occurs, and only he has the ability to see this on the screen. Once he uses his superpower to master his destiny, you will also hop on this roller-coaster ride.

Bhuvan Bam, a famous YouTuber made a sensation with his first web series, Dhindora released on YouTube in 2021, in which he played 12 characters and already showed his acting chops. Once again he has delivered an impressive performance. Shriya Pilgaonkar was good here but she has played more impactful roles in series like Guilty Minds and The Broken News. JD Chakraborty has given a fine performance and it is good to see Deven Bhojani back on the screen. Despite having limited screen time Shilpa Shukla leaves a mark. Prathamesh Parab, Atisha Naik, Vijay Nikam, and Nitya Mathur were good in their supporting roles.

Taaza Khabar Season 1 Rating:
Direction 3.5/5

Overall Hit ya Flop Rating: 3 out of 5 Stars (Good)
