MOVIE REVIEW: The first half of the film is quite fun to watch. The dialogue delivery with the mispronunciation of English words and the comic timing of Rajkummar and Varun manages to raise laughs. The sequences between Rao and Sharma are a delight to watch. Both the lead actors have delivered entertaining performances.
Post-interval, the film begins to fall and becomes difficult to follow. And the climax is a huge disappointment. The second half looks stretched and plenty of unnecessary scenes could have been edited easily. Janhvi Kapoor failed to make an impact. She misses the opportunity to show her acting chops as Afza. She has delivered an unconvincing performance. Manav Vij and the other supporting casts have nothing much to offer here.
The weak writing and dragged screenplay have very little scope to impress the audience. The direction is below average and the cinematography is good. The background score also makes a limited impact.
Roohi Movie Rating:
Direction 2/5
Acting 2.5/5
Dialogues 2.5/5
Story 1.5/5
Screenplay 1.5/5
Overall Hit ya Flop Rating: 2 out of 5 Stars ( Below Avg)
