WEB SERIES REVIEW: After the huge success of the first season, the massive hype around Mirzapur 2 is completely justified. Season 2 of Mirzapur picks up from where the first one ended. The premise of the series remains the same, it delivers the thrill, violence, and drama it promised.
This revenge saga revolves around the guns, crime, greed for power, rule of mafia dons, and gang wars in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. All these elements makes it a great watch and grab the viewer’s attention till the last episode.
The second season is more intense and action-packed but less on the engaging screenplay, some episodes are slow-paced. The dialogues are sharp, heavy, and impactful. The background score is brilliant, editing is fine and cinematography is quite ably.
The series has a strong cast that continues to deliver flawless performances this time as well. Pankaj Tripathi continues to lead the show with his impeccable expressions and outstanding performance. Divyenndu Sharma perfectly played a spoiled brat Munna. Shweta Tripathi and Rasika Dugal are the surprise package of this season.
Ali Fazal got less screen space than the first season, still managed to gave a decent performance. The new entries Vijay Varma, Anjum Sharma, Amit Sial, and Isha Talwar have also done a commendable job. The show’s overall casting by ‘Casting Bay’ is appropriate. All the supporting actors are exemplary in their roles.
Mirzapur Season 2 Rating:
Direction 3.5/5

Dialogues 3.5/5
