KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi) Becomes Second Film to Cross 400 Crore in India

Rocking Star Yash starrer KGF Chapter 2 is unstoppable at the box office. After beating the lifetime collection of Dangal (₹ 387.38 Crore), the Hindi version of KGF 2 has crossed the ₹ 400 Crore within 23 days of its release. After a whopping start, after emerging as the fastest ₹ 100 Crore, ₹ 200 Crore, & ₹ 300 Crore film, and becoming one of the highest-grossing releases of the year. Now, it has achieved yet another record, by crossing the ₹ 400 Crore mark, the second Hindi film to achieve this milestone after Baahubali: The Conclusion.

In Karnataka, it has collected ₹ 160 Crore and the Hindi version of the film has collected ₹ 401.80 Crore. Currently, the Kannada-language period action film stands with a collection of ₹ 1128 Crore gross worldwide (all versions). The movie had crossed ₹ 1000 Crore gross worldwide last weekend and it took just five more days to pick another ₹ 128 Crore and surpasses the global collection of RRR to become the third-highest grosser Indian film worldwide followed by Dangal (₹ 2024 Crore) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (₹ 1810 Crore).

The overseas business of the movie sits at $ 24.25 million approx. There was a surge in collections due to the Eid holidays on the weekdays in the Middle East and Malaysia.  Helmed by Prashanth Neel, KGF: Chapter 2 is a follow-up of the Kannada blockbuster KGF Chapter 1. The sequel also stars Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Prakash Raj, Malavika Avinash, Archana Jois, and Achyuth Kumar. Hit Ya Flop gave it 3.3 out of 5 stars and rated it as ‘Good’. It is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 100 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost, the most expensive Sandalwood film.
