Jayeshbhai Jordaar starring Ranveer Singh and Shalini Pandey has failed to live up to expectations and performing poorly at the box office. The movie began its theatrical run with a mere ₹ 3.25 Crore. The social comedy-drama film has collected ₹ 12 Crore in India and ₹ 19 Crore gross worldwide within three days of its release.
The movie is written & directed by Divyang Thakkar, and produced by Aditya Chopra & Maneesh Sharma under Yash Raj Films. It becomes Ranveer’s second-lowest opening weekend grosser, managed to surpass Band Baaja Baaraat which had collected ₹ 5.20 Crore.
The film was officially announced in May 2019. After the pre-production ended, the shooting commenced in Mumbai on 4th December 2019. The second schedule took place in Gujarat from January 2020 and the film wrapped up on 7th February 2020. The film was released theatrically on 13 May 2022.
Hit Ya Flop gave it 2 out of 5 stars and rated it as ‘Below Average’. Jayeshbhai Jordaar got released across 3500 screens which include 2250 in India and 1250 screens overseas. It is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 50 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost.
