Blockbuster Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone crosses ₹ 1000 Crore gross worldwide. Also, it became the fastest Hindi film to cross ₹ 500 Crore in India within 18 days. Currently, its Hindi version stands with a collection of ₹ 505.94 Crore. With Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan emerges as the only actor to have two ₹ 1000 Crore club movies in a calendar year.
Directed by Atlee Kumar, the action drama film has collected ₹ 563.20 Crore (all versions) in India and ₹ 1004.92 Crore gross worldwide in 18 days of its release. It is produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment. The movie also stars Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Riddhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, Girija Oak, and Sanjay Dutt in a cameo appearance. Hit Ya Flop gave it 4 out of 5 stars & rated it as ‘Must Watch’ and wrote “The movie is a package of engaging story, entertaining performances, excellent direction, and electrifying larger-than-life action sequences”.
The movie was released across 5500 screens in India and on 4500 screens overseas. The worldwide count for Jawan is 10,000 screens, making it the biggest for a Hindi film and one of the widest ever for an Indian movie too. It is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 300 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost.
