Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma got a record-breaking start at the box office. The action drama film began its theatrical run with ₹ 40.10 Crore. After emerging as the second-highest opening Bollywood film of the year 2023 after Pathaan (₹ 57 Crore), now it has become the second fastest film to cross the 200 Crore mark in India after Pathaan (4 Days). Currently, it stands with a collection of ₹ 228.98 Crore in 5 days.
After collecting ₹ 55.40 Crore on its 5th Day, it recorded the biggest single day for the film on Independence Day.
The film has surpassed Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion (Hindi version), Sanju, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Sultan, and even Dangal which took seven days to achieve this milestone. Gadar 2 has now joined the KGF – Chapter 2 (Hindi version) which had also managed to enter the ₹ 200 Crore club in five days of its release. Gadar 2 stands just behind the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan which had crossed the ₹ 200 Crore mark in just four days of its release.
Gadar 2 was released across 3500+ screens and is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 100 Crore. The film is directed & produced by Anil Sharma, and written by Shaktimaan Talwar.
