Doctor G starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh, and Shefali Shah continues to perform low at the box office. The movie began its theatrical run with ₹ 3.87 Crore. The medical campus comedy-drama film collected ₹ 21.95 Crore in India and ₹ 35 Crore gross worldwide within seven days of its release. While Doctor G is struggling to maintain pace at the box office, the Sandalwood film Kantara has been ruling the theatres since its release.
Doctor G is directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, in her directorial debut, and produced by Junglee Pictures. The movie also stars Ayesha Kaduskar, Priyam Saha, Shraddha Jain, and Indraneil Sengupta. Hit Ya Flop gave it 2.5 out of 5 stars & rated it as ‘Average’ and wrote “The movie has some good performances, and decent direction but the writing is too mediocre”.
The movie got released across 2500+ screens in India and is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 35 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost. According to the report, the film saw a drop in collections owing to the release of the Hollywood superhero film ‘Black Adam’, starring Dwayne Johnson in the lead.
