Cirkus starring Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Varun Sharma has been struggling at the box office ever since it hit the theatres. The movie began its theatrical run with ₹ 6.25 Crore. The comedy film has collected a mere ₹ 30.25 Crore in its opening week. The film also received poor reviews from both audiences and critics. Ranveer Singh delivers three back-to-back flops at the box office with ’83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and now Cirkus.
Cirkus is directed and produced by Rohit Shetty. The film is jointly produced by Rohit Shetty Productionz and T-Series. The movie also stars Johny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari, Vrajesh Hirjee, Siddharth Jadhav, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Anil Charanjeett, Ashwini Kalsekar, Murli Sharma, Tiku Talsania, Radhika Bangia, Brijendra Kala, Saurabh Gokhale, Ashish Warang, Umakant Patil and Uday Tikekar in supporting roles.
Hit Ya Flop gave it 2 out of 5 stars & rated it as ‘Below Average’ and wrote “It is a huge disappointment and suffers due to poor writing”. The movie was released across 3200+ screens in India and it is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 150 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost. It is likely to be pulled out of the theatres in the coming days.
