The film serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2019 hit Good Newwz and explores the intriguing concept of heteropaternal superfecundation, a reproductive phenomenon where twins are born to the same mother but have different biological fathers. Released theatrically on 19th July 2024 across 3000+ screens in India, “Bad Newz” is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 75 Crore, which includes production costs as well as prints and advertising expenses.
Hit Ya Flop gave it 3 out of 5 stars & rated it as ‘Good’ and wrote “a fun-filled entertainer that offers a unique & engaging plot with commendable performances and good music. But it falls short in delivering consistent humor & emotions compared to Good Newwz”.
