Baazaar starring Saif Ali Khan, Chitrangada Singh, Radhika Apte and debutant Rohan Mehra had a below average start at the Indian box office and began its theatrical run with ₹ 3.07 crore. The business crime drama film earned ₹ 11.93 Crore in its first weekend.
The film is directed by Gauravv K. Chawla, written by Nikkhil Advani, Aseem Arora and Parveez Sheikh and produced by Nikkhil Advani, Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Kyta Productions, Emmay Entertainment and B4U Movies. The film is set in the backdrop of money, power and business, largely based on the Stock market. It was reported to be heavily inspired by the 1987 American movie Wall Street.
Baazaar got released in 1500 screens in India and it is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 40 Crore which includes the Production cost of 28 Crore and Prints & Advertising Cost of 12 Crore.
