Last week’s releases, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and Ulajh, have unfortunately failed to leave a mark at the box office. Both the films are struggling to reach even ₹ 10 Crore lifetime collection and will be remembered as box office disappointments of the year.
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Saiee Manjrekar had a lackluster start at the box office, raking in only ₹ 1.70 Crore on its opening day. The romantic drama, written and directed by Neeraj Pandey, managed to collect ₹ 7.34 Crore in India in seven days. Despite the presence of seasoned actors, the film couldn’t attract a significant audience, resulting in disappointing numbers.
Hit ya Flop gave it 2 out of 5 stars & rated it as ‘Below Average’ and wrote “A film that suffers due to its weak screenplay, predictable storyline, and repetitive editing. Despite strong performances and a standout musical score, the film miserably fails to engage viewers.”
Whereas, Janhvi Kapoor starrer Ulajh also faced a similar fate, with first-week collections amounting to ₹ 6.55 Crore in India. Directed by Sudhanshu Saria and produced by Junglee Pictures, the film featured a talented ensemble cast including Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Meiyang Chang, Rajesh Tailang, Adil Hussain, and Jitendra Joshi. However, despite its promising premise and strong performances, the film failed to resonate with moviegoers.
