Anek starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Andrea Kevichüsa got a poor start at the Indian box office. The movie began its theatrical run with a mere ₹ 1.77 Crore. The action drama film has collected ₹ 8.15 Crore in India and ₹ 11 Crore gross worldwide. The movie is now streaming on Netflix.
The movie is written and directed by Anubhav Sinha who also co-produced it with T-Series. It was theatrically released worldwide on 27th May 2022. The film also stars Loitongbam Dorendra, Mipham Otsal, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, and J.D. Chakravarthy.
Hit Ya Flop gave it 2.5 out of 5 stars and rated it as ‘Average’ and wrote “An important film with mediocre writing and average execution”. Anek was released across 1800 screens worldwide including 1200 screens in India and 600 screens overseas. It was estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 45 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost.
