MOVIE REVIEW: After delivering a commercial Hit Good Newwz in 2020, director Raj Mehta once again delivers a compelling comedy-drama film. The writing of the film has the right proportion of humour and drama. Anurag Singh’s story and Rishabh Sharma’s dialogues will make you laugh, cry, and relate to this family’s emotions.
Varun Dhawan gave a decent performance and shares good on-screen chemistry with Kiara Advani. Kiara is no more just a pretty face actress, she was impressive in the emotional scenes and she deserves more well-written roles like this. Anil Kapoor was flawless as always and he will keep the audience engaged till the end. Neetu Kapoor makes an admirable comeback. Maniesh Paul’s comic timing is spot on and he has some best one-liners in the film. Prajakta Koli makes a promising Bollywood debut and she was good in her limited role.
The direction is excellent, the music is a mixed bag, and the editing could have been done better. Some scenes including the climax will leave you wanting for more. But this family entertainer definitely deserves a one-time watch. Right from the first scene till the climax, the film will entertain the viewers.
