After creating history on Diwali day with ₹ 44.50 Crore, Tiger 3 starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi got the biggest opening on Diwali day and it also emerged as the highest-ever opening overseas with ₹ 41.50 Crore. Now, the action thriller film has collected ₹ 59.25 Crore on the second day and entered the ₹ 100 Crore Club in India & crossed ₹ 180 Crore gross worldwide in just 2 days.
Salman Khan became the only Indian actor to have consecutive seventeen ₹100 crore club films. The other 16 films of his to cross the ₹ 100 Crore mark in India include Dabangg, Ready, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Jai Ho, Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan, Tubelight, Tiger Zinda Hai, Race 3, Bharat, Dabangg 3, and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Salman Khan has the highest number of films in the 100 Crore club at the Indian box office, followed by Akshay Kumar who has 15 films in the 100 Crore club. Katrina Kaif has now managed to equal Deepika Padukone’s record with both having nine releases each that have made it past the 100 Crore mark.
Tiger 3 is directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The movie also stars Revathi, Simran, Kumud Mishra, Riddhi Dogra, Vishal Jethwa & Ranvir Shorey in supporting roles, and Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan in a cameo appearance. Hit Ya Flop gave it 3 out of 5 stars & rated it as ‘Good’ and wrote “The film justifies the expectations of YRF Spy Universe fans. It offers unparalleled high-octane action but due to the weak storyline don’t expect an engaging thrill”.
The movie was released across 5500 screens in India and on 3400 screens overseas. It is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 300 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost.
