PLOT: The film revolves around Captain Vikrant Khanna, it is inspired by the true event of the Jet Airways Doha to Kochi flight 9W 555, a Boeing 737-800 aircraft that had a narrow escape on 18 August 2015, after facing difficulties to land at the Cochin International Airport due to bad weather and unclear visibility.
Runway 34 is a thriller drama film produced and directed by Ajay Devgn. It was released in cinemas on 29th April 2022 clashing with Heropanti 2. Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan reunite in this film after 7 years. Previously, they’ve worked in Major Saab, Hindustan Ki Kasam, Hum Kisise Kum Nahin, Khakee, and Aag.

MOVIE REVIEW: Runway 34 has a unique storyline with an engaging screenplay. The movie takes off well and keeps you hooked till the Landing. The first half of the film is a fast paced edge-of-the-seat thriller with never seen before aviation scenes in Bollywood. In the second half, it was not equally engrossing. The film starts losing its grip but then manages to hold the viewer with a few gripping courtroom scenes.
Ajay Devgn’s direction and performance are impressive. Amitabh Bachchan comes post-intermission and he has again delivered an excellent performance with his sharp dialogue delivery. Rakul Preet Singh, Boman Irani, and other supporting actors were fine in their roles. Carryminati’s cameo was decent.
The VFX, cinematography, and background score were noteworthy. The editing is also done skillfully but only in the first half. If you are fed up with the masala entertainer and looking for a good content film then go for it.
