Raazi starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal had a good start at the Indian box office and earned ₹ 7.53 Crore on its first day. The movie got positive reviews from critics as well as audience and due to the good word of mouth the movie picked up its collections over the weekend and ended its first weekend with ₹ 32.94 Crore.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, of Talvar fame, Raazi is a story of an Indian spy marries a Pakistani man during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. The movie got the fifth highest opening weekend collection after Padmavaat (₹ 114 Crore), Baaghi 2 (₹ 73.10 Crore), Raid (₹ 41.01 Crore) and PadMan (₹ 40.05 Crore).
The movie got released in 1200 screens in India and estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 30 Crore which includes the Production cost of 20 Crore and Prints & Advertising Cost of 10 Crore.
