Sashi Kiran Tikka’s directorial Major starring Adivi Sesh and Saiee M Manjrekar performing well at the global box office. The movie began its theatrical run with ₹ 13.40 Crore gross. The biographical action drama film has collected ₹ 35.60 Crore Crore worldwide and the Hindi version has managed to collect ₹ 4.66 Crore within three days of its release.
Filmed simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi languages, the film follows the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, an army officer who was killed in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Adivi Sesh in his Hindi film debut plays the title character, in addition to writing the script.
The film also stars Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, Revathi, Murali Sharma, and Anish Kuruvilla. It is produced by Sony Pictures International Productions, G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment, and A+S Movies. Hit Ya Flop gave it 3.5 out of 5 stars and rated it as ‘Very Good’. It was theatrically released worldwide on 3rd June 2022.
