MOVIE REVIEW: KGF Chapter 2 starts on a high note and takes off right from where the first part ended. The story unfolds with the already established characters in the previous part and the new characters are introduced without interrupting the pace of the film. But here the makers were more focused on the Yash’s look, action & cinematography and completely forgot about the convincing plot.

Director Prashant Neel had done an excellent job in Chapter 1. In Chapter 2 also with this thin storyline, he manages to deliver what the audience is looking for. The first half of the film is a bit lengthy and the screenplay is dragged till the intermission point. Although few clap-worthy moments were there but nothing much is offered in the plot. The second half is loaded with heavy dialogues, loud music, and some well-choreographed action sequences.

Yash has delivered a superlative performance once again. He has given many whistle-worthy moments for his fans. Right from the introduction scene and till the climax, he looks terrific in the action sequences. Srinidhi Shetty’s role is again disappointing. Raveena Tandon leaves more impact with her limited screen time. Sanjay Dutt got a handful of scenes and the makers made him do nothing but open his mouth and roar. Prakash Raj and other supporting casts have given a decent performance.

One suggestion for all is to pre-book your appointment with an ENT specialist because the background music may damage your eardrum. The editing could have been done better and crisper. The transitions between the past & the present scenes and the black-out pattern in editing spoil the effect in a few action scenes.
